Sergeant - Sunshine

Sergeant is the band feel of Scottish pop universe. Hailing from Glenrothes, succeeded in 2007, a contract with a major label, Mercury Records. After that, they opened the Oasis gigs in Scotland and accompanied the Fratellis on a UK tour.
Their first two singles went out this year. The first, "K-OK" May was hailed by NME as "the most perfect pop song that we thought might be made." The album quickly sold out in stores. The second, in August, is called "Sunshine", and comes with two songs: "Tonight" and "Sue Loves It." The main track was chosen by the English newspaper the Guardian as one of the "hymns of summer" this year. As poster, huh?
Despite all this fanfare, the band is not all that wonder. The songs are really good, easy to pick and sing like a good pop should be. But do not differ much from what has been done before, mainly in Scotland, as the excellent debut album from The View or The Fratellis's best songs, just to get those two.
As I've written here before, I do not care if a song is equal to or different from others, since it makes me want to dance on a Friday night either. As the Sergeant does.
