Now is the time for "The Orchard", an excellent collection of songs made to enjoy relaxed and satisfied. The songs are beautiful, with a positive vibe, and at the same time, full of energy. An upset and so if we compare the most sombre previous tracks, probably affected by the death of drummer John Ryan Pike, in 2007.

"The Orchard" was released yesterday, and I highly recommend. Besides "Boy," which make available to you, also recommend "Foolish" and "Kansai". However, the album as a whole it's heard. It is possible to find something for every type of hearing.

Life comes back full, and it was hard to write more often on the blog. Sorry, folks. Much good has been released lately and I have had no time to put them on top of everything.

Left, on June 15, the last disc I have, after a long hiatus that lasted since 1990. For you smaller ones that do not know the band, Devo was formed in 1972. Along with bands like the B-52s and guys like Gary Numan, strongly influenced the New Wave '80s, gender as a source of inspiration for a vast range of indie bands of today. Therefore, "Something For Everybody" is a hard as I always did, but does not seem dated precisely because of this trend.

Although not the best track on the disc, I decided to post "Fresh," the first single and video released by the band to promote the new album for two reasons. First, they are dancing and works well on the track. Second, because it demonstrates clearly what the group did for music of the 80s, with the injection of his Casio synthesizer, so fashionable nowadays.

In its first edition of August, the project Play! promises to shake the public on Friday, Day 06/08/2010, from 23.30, at Club 904 (Club ASCEB, 904 SOUTH). Tonight, two special guests at the party landed to surprise and excite Brasilia: Mario Mamede, drummer of Moptop, a band that needs no introduction, and PRIXSIE, DJ parties of the chimes Vive le rock and Madness and resident of the Vintage Space, Norio January. Also in the lineup, @ s best local djs guarantee the animation of the track all night, playing rock quality in all aspects and styles.

With two albums ("Moptop," 2006 and "How to Behave", 2008), Moptop had several successful participations in the relevant awards, including the statement by the Newcomer Award and the MTV VMB Multishow Brazil, 2007. It's worth checking the site, which has many interesting details, including videos of the studio recordings of songs that comprise his latest album.

After the debut album of 2008, Rocknova just reward us with the EP "face" virtually launched today by the New Sound Hi Launch 'physical' EP will take place in grand style on July 25, in Teatro Hi Future Klauss Vianna, Belo Horizonte, MG.

Of songs released, "Impulse" is the one that fits the profile of the blog. Has a positive vibe, good riffs and an excellent letter. But, I recommend that conferred all the tracks, especially the "Vestiges," my favorite.

The direction of the band could not be better, listening to an EP of such quality as this. Good to know that there are indie bands like this, who survive on their own, the cost of much sacrifice, in this bankrupt Brazilian phonographic market and opening his eyes just crap "colored." Long live independent bands Rocknova and quality of our country.

The Book Is On The Cube is back, after the great success of the first. With a line up and whimsical at the same time, unexpected DJs, the festival is a celebration of all aspects undergrounds's out there. There is a bit of everything, sure you'll find yourself at some point the party.

The party will take place on July 17, at Landscape Pub, AC 7 North Lake, close to shopping Iguatemi. Entry will cost R $ 13.00, as of 23h.

For those who do not know, Kele Okereke is frotman Bloc Party. While the band follows in his creative hiatus after the weak last album, Kele decided to face a new venture alone and released her first solo album called "The Boxer."

We know that the Bloc Party went into recess mainly because of the divergence of ideas between Kele and the other band members. In "The Boxer," we learn where he was going with the band. The sound differs from the done by Bloc Party, with a footprint entirely dedicated to electronic music. The guitars were practically left out, giving time to the synthesizers and drum machines. However, if we attend to where he was directing the band's sound throughout their disks, we find that the sound is not so different (see the song "Mercury", posted here on the site).

"Tenderoni", in my opinion, is the only really good track of "The Boxer." The rest is forgettable. Draw their own conclusions and tell me.

Sorry for the long time without posting songs. I had a serious problem with the HD of my Mac, and spent a few weeks without a computer until you have money to buy another HD. Thanks to my backups, my songs are intact, and I can continue to post them for you. Thank you all for your patience!

Bodega Girls is a new band from Boston, USA, composed by Jake (guitar), EvRock (vocals), Mac Machine (dj), Carmen (vocals) and Jay (bass). They play an insane mix of indie with electronica, to leave you wanting more after listening to one of their tracks. The sound is fun, unpretentious and pretty pop. We give it all in "We Are Losers," which appeared on the net this week. But in this particular song, the icing on the cake is the excellent chemistry demonstrated the chorus, inspired, perhaps, the Violent Femmes. Really? It is given!
